Will brock lesnar be back to 100%?

He’s been out for long periods of time twice now, one time he didn’t have surgery and the second time he had 12 inches of his colon removed. That must be traumatic.

He says he is definitely 100% now and is going to return to performing like he did against Frank Mir at UFC 100 and beat Alistair Overeem to a pulp. I really hope he does. I hope he has learnt to take a punch and shows improved striking in his next outing.

Who is the best fighter in the world?

Personally, I have no idea.

I know most of you think it is Fedor, but come on, Dana White was right about him all along. This guy was hiding away from top competetion in the UFC and beating guys who were thrown out of the UFC for years. Dana tried everything to get him into the UFC and his manager just wouldn’t do it, and his offer was said to be one of the best.

I think maybe Anderson Silva is the best. He’s just beautiful to watch.

Is dana white good for the UFC?

I always see this question being asked on Twitter and MMA Forums by fans and I’ve come to the conclusion that these people are complete and utter idiots.

Dana White took over the leading of the UFC when it was purchased by the Fertita brothers 10 years ago and look how he almost single handedly turned this thing around. It went from a company that nobody wanted to see or be involved in, to one of the biggest sporting franchises on the planet, making millions and millions of dollars a year.

Are there too many PPV events?

As the UFC continues to grow, so does the number of events that they put on and 2012 is going to be even bigger in terms of number of events that they put on, definitely.

Is this a good thing, though?

For me, yes. For others, I’m not so sure. PPV buys are dropping, so it seems. 2010 was the biggest year for PPV buys in the history of the UFC, and maybe they would have beaten that if Brock Lesnar wasn’t injured, maybe they wouldn’t, but it’s definitely been a lack-luster year in those terms. Will the Christmas card get a million buys?

We will see I’m sure.

Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem

Brock Lesnar takes on former Strikeforce Champion Alistair Overeem on December 30th.

This matchup will be the closest thing we have seen to complete wrestler vs. striker. Brock is a former NCAA amateur wrestling champion, and Overeem is a K1 Champ. He has been fighting much longer than Brock, and Brock having just come off of a major surgery, will that play a part in this fight? Who knows.

I don’t it will go five rounds, but I hope Brock knocks Alistair out.
